Your game stays on your phone
Last updated 12 October 2026
The short version. DustDash has no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no tracking. Your game is saved on your iPhone and nowhere else. The app doesn't send anything about you or your game to us or to anyone else. If you buy credits, Apple handles the payment and we never see your payment details.
Who we are
DustDash is made by SPENCER AI (ABN 31 978 335 623), a business based in Victoria, Australia ("we", "us"). This policy covers the DustDash iPhone app and this website. If you have a question about your information, email welcome@myspencer.ai.
We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
What the app saves, and where
To remember your game between sessions, DustDash saves a small amount of game information in the app's own storage on your iPhone. That is:
- your run: which galaxy you're in, where you are on the map, the quadrants you've charted and cleared, the board you're part-way through, your fuel, hull, credits, salvage and the gear you've fitted;
- when the ship last mended, so it can mend a little more while you're away;
- whether you've seen the story film and the how-to-play guide;
- your settings for sound and effects.
We use it only to run the game. It stays on your phone until you start a new run or delete the app.
It doesn't include your name, email address, contacts, location, photos or anything else about you. DustDash never asks for any of those.
This information stays on your phone. We don't receive a copy and we can't see it. Your iPhone may include the app's storage in your own device backup (to iCloud or a computer), depending on your backup settings; that backup is between you and Apple.
What the app sends
Nothing about you. Everything DustDash needs to run, including its artwork, films, sounds and typefaces, is built into the app. It doesn't connect to a server of ours and plays without a connection. The only time it goes online is the credits shop: it asks Apple's App Store for pack prices in your currency, and a purchase goes through Apple. Apple handles the payment; we don't receive your payment details.
DustDash has no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting service, no social features, no leaderboards and no third-party tracking. It doesn't track you across other apps or websites, and it doesn't use Apple's advertising identifier.
Buying credits
DustDash is free. You can choose to buy packs of credits inside the app. Purchases go through Apple's App Store using your Apple account. Apple handles the payment and tells the app whether the purchase went through. We never receive your name, card details or Apple account details. Apple's privacy policy applies to how Apple handles purchases.
Apple gives us sales reports, such as how many packs were sold in each country. These don't identify you.
Permissions
DustDash doesn't ask for any permissions. It doesn't use your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or calendars. The gentle buzz you feel on a blast uses the iPhone's vibration, which needs no permission.
The current version of DustDash doesn't send notifications. If a future version offers reminders (for example, when your ship has mended), it will ask your permission first, schedule them on your phone, and we'll update this policy before that version is released.
This website
This website has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and it loads nothing from other companies: its typeface and pictures are served with the site. Like any website, the service that hosts it may keep standard technical logs (such as internet addresses and the pages requested) for a short time to keep the site secure and working.
Emails
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and to look after DustDash, and we keep it only as long as we need to for that. We never sell it or add you to a mailing list. Our email provider stores messages for us and may store them outside Australia.
Children
DustDash is a cartoon puzzle game made for a general audience, not especially for children, and it isn't in the App Store's Kids category. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. Purchases go through Apple, so parents can use Ask to Buy and Screen Time to approve or turn off purchases on a child's device. If you're a parent and your child has emailed us, ask and we'll delete it.
Deleting your information
- Start again. In the game, open Settings and tap NEW RUN, then TAP AGAIN. This wipes your run, including credits and everything bought, and starts a fresh game.
- Delete the app. Deleting DustDash from your iPhone removes everything it saved. A copy may remain in your own iPhone backups until those are replaced.
- Emails. To have us delete emails you've sent, write to welcome@myspencer.ai.
Because we don't hold any of your game information, there is nothing about your game for us to delete, correct or send you.
Your rights and complaints
You can ask us what information we hold about you (in practice, only emails you've sent) and ask us to correct or delete it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or to the privacy regulator where you live.
Changes to this policy
If DustDash changes how it handles information, we'll update this policy and the date at the top before that version of the app is released, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
