Chapter 1 · How we got here

One black hole. Many galaxies from home.

Moss was flying his round green ship near the mushroom forests when a call came in to check out something strange. He took Welchy, his fluffy one-eyed pet, along for the ride.

A black hole swallowed them both. The ship came out the other side with warning lights flashing and a map that says home undetected. Then the pirates showed up.

Chapter 2 · How it plays

Line up. Blast. Fly through.

Every quadrant is an asteroid belt standing between Moss and home. Clear a path through the rocks, steer the ship through it, and reach the way out before the tank runs dry. New to it? How to Play in Settings has a short demo board, any time.

Line up threeDrag a rock onto its neighbour to line up three of a kind. They blast, the rocks above fall in, and one good move can set off a whole chain.
Fly the gapDrag Moss into the space you made, or tap any glowing square. Every move burns fuel, so fly through the gold stardust to top up the tank.
Cross the quadrantOpen the way out, pick west or east, and chart a new quadrant. Every one you cross brings Moss a little closer to home, and the map shows where you've been and what's still uncharted.
StardustYour fuel. Fly through it to fill the tank. An empty tank ends the trip.
CrystalGlittering rock in the belt. Get a pickaxe and mine it for credits.
CreditsThe blue tokens you spend at the marketplace on repairs and gear.
SalvageFloating ship parts. Scoop them up and sell them for credits.
Danger · Here be pirates

Mind your hull, matey.

A grumpy crew in a spiky ship patrols the belts, and they'd love to strip Moss's ship for parts. They move between turns. Park next to one, or give it a clear shot down a line, and it opens fire.

Blast them back with your own chains and they drop stardust as they go. Plunder for the plundered.

The kraken: a one-eyed space octopus with a pirate flag on its head

Beware the kraken

The pirates' biggest. It lurks off one edge of the board and reaches in with its tentacles, some long, some short. Each arm takes two hits to knock back, and you don't want Moss in reach when it lunges.

The Captain of Galactic Trade: a purple one-eyed alien in a captain's hat, holding a price list and a bag of credits
Chapter 3 · The marketplace

Dock at Galactic Trade.

Somewhere out in the dark sits a bustling market ship. Fly Moss and Welchy inside and the Captain will do business.

  • Sell your salvage for credits.
  • Patch the hull at one credit a point.
  • Buy a map chip or a long-range scan to see how far home really is.
Chapter 4 · Upgrade the ship

A tougher ship goes further.

The early quadrants are kind. The far ones aren't. Spend your credits on gear that gets you through the belts and past the pirates, so every trip carries Moss further home.

PickaxeCuts crystal and hard rock. Two levels.
Force fieldA shield every sector to soak up a hit.
Fuel tank+20 fuel. Room to fly further between top-ups.
Rockets+4 moves every sector.

Also on the shelf: hull plating (+20 hull), a magnet that pulls stardust in, and a blaster for extra blast charges.

Chapter 5 · Play for free

Free to play. Never pay for fuel.

Everything Moss needs to get home can be earned on the way.

  • Free to download and play. Every quadrant can be cleared with what you earn in play.
  • Earn as you fly. Mine crystal and sell salvage for credits. A ship fitted out for a whole galaxy costs about 8,620 credits, all of it earnable.
  • Time is on your side. Step away and the ship mends its hull and tops up its tank a little every hour, up to 70%.
  • Stardust is never for sale. Fuel is part of the puzzle, so nobody can buy their way round it.
  • Optional credit packs. If you'd like to skip ahead, you can buy credits through the App Store. The price is shown before you buy, and Apple handles the payment.
  • No ads, no account, no tracking. Your game is saved on your phone, not with us.
